Rhinoplasty Cost
When rhinoplasty is done in a cosmetic surgery form, insurance companies will not cover any cost. However, if the surgery is intended to correct or recover nasal function, fix a deformity or injury, some insurance companies will cover certain costs, if not the entire cost. It is the patient’s responsibility to make sure and confirm what coverage their insurance has to offer.
Remember to include when preparing for this surgery the operation room cost, anesthesiologist, revisions, post-operative surgeon visits, hospital cost, etc. Many patients hesitate to visit a surgeon because they believe they cannot afford the cost of a rhinoplasty. However, not only are there are several different options for this surgery, but also there is cosmetic financing available.
On average a nose reshaping surgery can cost from $3,200 to $7,500, with the average cost being somewhere in the middle about $3,800. Most of the time the total cost will include anesthesia, surgeon’s fee and outpatient clinic or facility fee. Ultimately, the cost will be determined once the patient visits the surgeon and explains what their goal is.
Some of the factors that can lower, or increase, the price of a nose surgery is the training of the surgeon, length of surgery, pre-operative and post-operative care, location where the operation is performed, the experience and name recognition that a surgeon might have. In many cases, if a surgeon is very well known for their skills in reshaping and performing nose surgeries, the price will be higher.
